Inger-Helen & Gard

Trondheim, Norway

You know this feeling when you get to a place and it naturally feels like home ? Well this is what Norway feels like to me. It resonates in me and makes me feel profound emotions.

This trip to Trondheim felt even better than my previous ones, because this time I went there to shoot a beautiful wedding between 2 amazing souls that I’m happy to call friends. Inger-Helen and Gard have supported my art since day 1, buying my first ever landscape prints from Ireland and Norway that they still have in their living room to this day. This weekend, after 8 years of friendship, they trusted me to be their wedding photographer, and what a wedding it was. It was full of magical moments, with the whole wedding party tuning in on songs and dances to surprise the bride and groom. The emotions could be felt across the entire room and I rarely felt so much raw and true emotions, the kind of emotions that don’t lie. There was love, joy and tears, a lot of beautiful tears !

On the Sunday we went in the outstanding landscapes that surround Trondheim to capture some of my most iconic wedding pictures I had ever shot. Starting with “Storfossen”, a beautiful waterfall locked in between trees and mountains. With the power of water and the wind we wanted to make it short to avoid getting to wet and cold, 5min is what it took us to get these photos, photos that we had dreamt of ! I’m so grateful that Inger-Helen and Gard were willing to take the risk to dirty their wedding attires the day right after their wedding just for these few shots !

The second location was a bit more relaxed in terms of conditions but no less beautiful. This small Norwegian lake is one of many, but what made this one so special is the weather conditions that we got. Having absolutely no wind there was a dream and led us to get probably my most magical shot of the entire weekend. I remember just sitting there, looking at the scenery with my couple standing on this edge, I was looking at a real life painting, I could’ve sat there for hours.

For all these moments, for all these shots, for all your trust and support, thank you Inger-Helen and Gard 🫶 until next time !
